Jason Cable is a 29 year old computer programmer who lives in the Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania area. He has spent the last 13 years in the Internet/technology industry working in various positions including technical support, UNIX/Linux system administration, web development, and client-server development.
Jason grew up in a small town in northwestern Pennsylvania. For the last ten years he has spent time living in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania; Long Island, New York; and northeastern New Jersey. This has helped to provide him with different points of view of and by the LGBT community. He is committed to helping people understand the issues that gay and lesbian people face throughout the world. JasonCable.com’s GLBT Podcast is listened to by people in dozens of countries, hundreds of thousands of times. The podcast is over four years old and still relevant in today’s environment.
In late 2008, he was diagnosed with a rare and chronic facial pain condition called trigeminal neuralgia. Despite this serious physical ailment, he still tries to keep up with this extra-curricular activities of blogging and podcasting. Jason also enjoys listening to classical music, reading, playing with his two cats, and leveling his World of Warcraft characters.
