Wait until you hear this one… I get home today and there’s a note under my door. Apparently something happened to the hot water making mechanism in my apartment building and the contractor that installed it has to obtain a part directly from the manufacturer of the system. I can handle a little cold water, but this is a building of about 130 apartments! Are you telling me that they don’t have a fallback plan? In IT we call this having a single point of failure, a bad thing. ”Wednesday morning… shrinkage, party of three.”

Ditto tonight and into tomorrow. It seems that the parts came in but something else was broken… 130 apartments still without hot water.
