Since we’re coming up on the podcast’s 3 year anniversary, I thought that I would share with you an interesting anecdote. This website’s #1 search term for visitors is “suze orman gay”. I covered my thoughts about America’s best financial advisor (IMO) on my 3rd show. Yes, people care about Suze Orman’s sexual orientation! It rather disgusts me that people only want to find secrets about the personal lives of celebrities. How many times have you wondered if a celebrity was gay? How many times have you wanted to know a celeb’s cock size?
I still get search hits that bring people here ALL the time questioning Suze’s sexual orientation. I did not know that she came out in a New York Times article in February of last year. It was followed up by this article. From the ‘Times:
[Q:] Are you married? [Suze:] I’m in a relationship with life. My life is just out there. I’m on the road every day. I love my life.
[Q:] Meaning what? Do you live with anyone? [Suze:] K.T. is my life partner. K.T. stands for Kathy Travis. We’re going on seven years. I have never been with a man in my whole life. I’m still a 55-year-old virgin.
Suze Orman is a big old dyke and we love her. Gay men call in to the show somewhat frequently and she treats them with all the respect they are owed. She never assumes that someone is straight. I love that about her. Now it makes much more sense why she would do so. Suze, I applaud you and thank you and KT for showing us all how to be ordinary lesbian and gay people without having to be “all gay all the time.” It’s inspiring to us all. Sure, we want an outspoken champion for our rights, but sometimes subtle is better. Subtle is showing courtesy to her callers and not judging them based on their age, race, creed, or sexual orientation. Suze, if you read this, call 888-272-5848 and leave some feedback! Thanks.
