I’m about to read a new book by James Lipton, host of Bravo’s Inside the Actor Studio. The book, Inside Inside sounds like a very good read. I’ll comment on it once I’m done with it. On every show, the host asks the following questions of each and every guest that was inspired by Bernard Pivot. Here are my responses.
What is your favorite word?
Love… but only in it’s true form.
What is your least favorite word?
Reparative therapy… more than one word, but LGBT people can’t be made straight. We were born this way.
What turns you on?
Tall thin blonds.
What turns you off?
Hatred, intolerance, racism, homophobia.
What sound or noise do you love?
A great clarinet player such as Stanley Drucker or Alfred Prinz.
What sound or noise do you hate?
To quote Simon & Garfunkel, “the sounds of silence.”
What is your favorite curse word?
Fuck.
What profession other than your own would you like to attempt?
Writer or musician. Something where I can be artistic.
What profession would you not like to do?
Medical Doctor. I couldn’t put people’s lives in my hands each and every day.
If Heaven exists, what would you like to hear God say when you arrive at the Pearly Gates?
