Before you think that “organ” refers to “penis”, GROW UP! In a previous post I talked about how I cannot donate blood. Because of the U.S. FDA’s ruling about MSM (men who have sex with men) blood donation saying that it’s against someone’s policies to let men who’ve had sex with another man who’s had sex with another man since 1977. Despite this fact, I can, in fact, donate my organs!?!?!? I guess dead fags are better than lives ones to the U.S. Government.
When I moved to Pennsylvania and had my PA Driver’s License reinstated (I lived here before), I decided to select the organ donor check mark, not thinking that they might deny gay men. This worried me for a while, but HEY!, how do they know you’re gay when you’re dead. I don’t yet have a rainbow flag tattoo, so why not? The PA Department of Health AND the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services both say that donation suitability is determined after death.
What the fuck? I can donate by dead heart, lungs, liver, corneas, etc., but not my live blood. Does anyone else see a problem with this? I’ll comment more on this later.

Gay men technically are not allowed to donate organs in the United States.

Obviously, unless you have a giant neon sign on your forehead saying “HOMO!” there is no way for someone at a blood bank or organ donation center to know that you’re gay.
In other words, you can donate blood, you just have to lie to do it.
Anthony, unfortunately, VERY TRUE. I could lie and donate blood and until I have a rainbow tattoo on my ass they won’t know I’m gay when I’m ready to donate any organs. I guess I have some “moral fibers” running through my bones.
