Book Gone Wrong

July 18th, 2007 by jason

Below is the introduction from a book that I thankfully never completed.  Let’s just say that the Word document was entitled: “Anti-inspiration.doc”.  Hope you find it interesting?!?!  Someone was in a mood that day…  pass the Prozac, please.

I truly believe that there are people at large with no regrets, no sorrows, and who do not care what others think about them.  Usually, we call these people sociopaths, smart asses, or happiness infusers.  How can a person not be cognizant of those around them and their attitudes towards them?  You will not find the answer in this book.  No preaching here, just hard, cold facts of an interesting albeit dull life.

This is a not about inspiration, but about struggle and strife.  Maybe hearing my stories will get you to inspired, but they surely do not help me.  Learning from mistakes is a key to the story, but I don’t teach you how to do that.  Instead, this is an anti-inspiration book.  If you want touching and uplifting, buy one of those Turkey Noodle Soup for the Soul books.  This is more of a Go Ahead and Piss on My Parade book.  By the way, I do care about getting my thinning hair messed up if you try that one!

You will not find much about caring and love here.  Dysfunctional families, assholes, and depression are mainstays of many topics covered here.  I will talk openly and honestly about how I see life as a gay man and describe in less than graphic detail my failed relationships.  I have caused many of my own faults and shortcomings; others have contributed greatly.  To them I dedicate this book.  May you rot in hell, if there is a hell.

If you are an attractive tall thin blond male, you may contact me to make me feel better.  If not, share your horror stories and maybe I’ll publish them in a separate volume entitled, The Most Overworked Generation Bitches.  Place your tray tables in their upright and locked positions and be ready to be shocked in the true story of 27 years of life.  P.S.:  This book ain’t getting on Dope-ra, so you can be sure it is truly true.
